How I Shoot A Wedding

Hello! The Name is Fletch if you haven’t guessed already, and I am a professional Scotland wedding photographer, specialising in first look wedding photography, romantic, elopement, and engagement photography near Glasgow. Today I’d like to talk about my style, and how I shoot a wedding.

I am located in Glasgow, Scotland, but am happy to shoot within a 100-mile radius. I love travelling and working across the UK and Europe. I started in corporate photography but found myself wanting to express more human interaction and people’s happiest moments.

I am a self-proclaimed geek who loves all things Anime, comic books and gaming. I have always been intrigued by the way things work, particularly technology. Once I started doing wedding photography, there was no turning back. I fell in love with capturing the beautiful emotions of the day.

I am a very relaxed person, and my style is non-intrusive and blended documentary storytelling through photographs, which I refer to as photojournalistic wedding photography. This means that you forget there is a camera pointed at you as I blend into the crowd as a wedding guest, and lean into what makes you different. I want to tell the authentic story of who you are and to show the world the best version of the unfiltered you.

The work I love is capturing the moments that will bring happy tears for you. My aim is to capture you as your friends and family truly know you. My objective is to be as authentic as possible and to capture that within my work. I am a candid photographer, but I do have some cues to help you pose naturally. I capture couples in their favourite activities, am a pro 3rd wheel, and would love to join you on your date, your hike, or wherever you’d like, so I can capture you naturally as we go.

Photography is something I love. I am intrigued by the real emotions and the actual life that happens while the photo is being taken. The only thing you need to do is be yourself! I photograph couples, pregnancy reveals, families, and your beloved pets. I am relaxed, enthusiastic, and non-invasive, and I happily fade into the background while capturing moments of pure excitement and joy.

My desire is to capture the magic and unique love story that is yours alone. Couples have described me as happy, relaxed, friendly, and a great person to work with. My images are described as the best quality photographic memories to cherish forever.

I view all my couples as close friends, and I aim to be like your best friend by the wedding day so that I can blend in and enjoy the pleasure of capturing images that tell the story of your love to the world. My photographs are approximately 90% candid, and approximately 10% guided or posed. If you are looking for relaxed, carefree Scotland wedding photography, I would love to capture the real you in memories you will treasure. Contact me today to see if we’re a good fit!
